Meet Gabbie

Gabbie Rae has been called the "Little Girl with the Big Voice," but her musical journey almost never happened. Born with an under-developed trachea and diagnosed with Trachea laryngeal Malacia at 3 days old, she would have to undergo two major throat operations in the first three years of her life. The first procedure, at 1 month old, triggered a very difficult time for Gabbie Rae and her family, as it was almost impossible for her to eat and breathe at the same time. At the age of 3 she underwent her second surgery, but this time the recovery was different. Although she was encouraged by her parents and doctor's to take it easy, Gabbie had a gift that could not be contained. Her parents marveled as she recovered as if nothing was ever wrong. Her doctors were impressed with how well she was recovering, and everyone was in shock when she opened up to sing. She had been given the voice of an angel.
Inspired by the sound of her voice and the challenges she had overcome, Gabbie Rae entered her first singing competition at the age of 6. The voice, the performance, and her presence on stage blew the competition and the judges away, and she was awarded the grand prize. Since that first performance, Gabbie Rae has won every competition that she has entered, including The 2007 Grand Strand Junior Icon and The Hard Rock Cafe's Lead Singer Wanted competitions. After numerous wins on the amateur scene and being called "Grand Strand's very own child star" by GS Magazine, Gabbie Rae was encouraged to pursue professional endeavors for her talent. Her parents, also musicians, supported her and the journey to sharing her amazing gift with others took off.

Since the age 7, Gabbie Rae has worked as a professional entertainer and performed with musical acts such as Famous Amos of Whitesnake, Ronnie James Dio, and has sat in with The Arlin Strader Jazz Trio. Gabbie Rae and her amazing voice have also garnered local and national media attention. To date, she has been featured in numerous newspapers and magazines, and was selected by the producers of the nationally syndicated daytime talk show The Tyra Banks Show, as one of "The Most Talented Kids in the Country" (under the age of 10).
A full-time entertainer, Gabbie Rae manages to maintain straight-A's and loves school. She also lends her support to numerous local and national charities including Relay for Life, Camp Kemo, The American Red Cross, The V-Foundation for Cancer Research, Rolling Thunder, Friends Helping Friends, CareTeam, and Paws to the Rescue, among others. She is a junior member and sponsor of Rolling Thunder Grand Strand Chapter 3, and supports The Blue Star Mothers Foundation. In 2008, Gabbie Rae released her first self-titled CD. In conjunction with the Myrtle Beach Hard Rock Cafe, Gabbie Rae hosted an album release party and donated a portion of the proceeds from CD sales from the event to The V-Foundation for Cancer Research. Gabbie Rae's willingness to help others has assisted numerous organizations with raising thousands of dollars in the process, and she is currently in the process of founding her own organization The Rae of Hope Foundation.
In 2010, Gabbie Rae announced that she would be entering the next phase of her musical journey by working with music industry veteran Ian Burke (Bobby Valentio, TLC, Outkast). Currently writing and recording music for her yet to be titled project, Gabbie Rae says she remains motivated to share her gift because she understands that what she has is a gift from God that she must share with others.
